Valparaiso is a little port town in central Chile is famous for its colorfully messy hills loved on by artists and tourists alike.
But Valparaiso is much more than street art and dodging dog poo!
I explored the city for three days and below are my favorite photos that capture the essence of this quirky bucket list destination.

Lifts are common in hilly hilly Valparaiso, but so are stairs. I almost always chose the latter and paid the price the next morning!
Emporio la Rosa has been listed in The Daily Meal’s top “25 Best Ice Cream Parlours in the World” so I had to try their claim to fame. The ice cream was very good, but I can’t taste a difference between Emporio and Florida’s Publix Premium at the supermaket. It’s probably just me and my dull taste buds—everything tastes good to me!
